Layers of London is a fascinating interactive map that lets you explore the city through historic map overlays, images and local stories, making it a brilliant tool for anyone interested in architecture, place and urban history.

How long will it be before the building you are designing now is demolished? This interesting article explores the lifespan of demolished buildings in Europe and the US, and is a useful prompt to think more carefully about durability, adaptability and designing for long-term use.
